Can MiFIDMap Reader be used without the Workbench?
MiFIDMap Reader can be used as a standalone map by users who do not have a need to enter their own specific organisational data, and would prefer to use MiFIDMap as a tool for helping them to navigate around the MiFID EU Directives.

Can I use the product with Microsoft Project?
With the easy to use reporting function, it is possible to generate XML reports in Excel which can then be imported into Project.  Microsoft Project will automatically be populated giving you a head start with your project planning.

What does the maintenance agreement cover?

This is an annual maintenance agreement, which will entitle the user to the following:-

• Free on-line support
• Access to MiFIDMap forum
• Discounts on new MiFIDMap modules

Will the map be updated?

Updates to the MiFIDMap content will be made available if there are any significant updates to the legislation.

Can other members of staff view the information?
MiFIDMAP Reader has been designed to allow users to view the information recorded in MiFIDMAP Workbench, but they will not be able to update the map, thereby ensuring security and integrity of the organisation’s data.

Who will need to use the map?
The MiFIDMap family has been designed to help investment managers, brokers, dealers, portfolio managers and other industry professionals implement the MiFID directives.  Compliance Officers and managers responsible for the implementation within their organisations will need to digest and implement the elements of the directives which affect their organisation.  To do this they may also have other members of staff helping them with these tasks and also be expected to report to senior managers of their progress.  When using the MiFIDMap users can easily view what elements affect their business, identify areas which need action immediately and make this information quickly available to the rest of the organisation.  MiFIDMap is not intended for Market Operators.

Do you have to have Microsoft Visio® installed?
"About 65 percent of us are visual... They “see” ideas in the mind’s eye, remembering visual details from places they’ve visited."  Microsoft’s Visio® makes it easy to visualise, explore, and communicate complex information. Go from complicated text that is hard to understand to Visio® diagrams that communicate information at a glance.  The MiFIDMap products have used the visualise elements of Microsoft Visio® to bring the MiFID directives “alive”.  All users of the map will therefore need to have Microsoft Visio® 2003 or 2007 installed in order to use the MiFIDMap.  However, Visio® has endless uses and will provide your organisation with a tool for producing your own “visual” maps.

Can the MiFIDMap be used on a network?
MiFIDMap data can be stored on an organisation’s network, and provided the user has a copy of the MiFIDMap Reader or Workbench installed on their desktop, they will have access to the MiFIDMap.
